![]() A Warning Cry |
| A Warning Cry As one hears the cry of sorrow upon a distant shore, Watch out for tomorrow, it may be your heart that's sore. When the ocean's over-jumping their bounds from L.A. to Rome, It might not be onother who's lost loved ones and home. The warning cries have been here for six thousand years. Through days long past the prophets told of coming tears. Take time to read the sign posts predicted through the years. Then you will know as I do, God's love casts out all fears. From all the great pollutions upon our wondrous earth, The seals, the whales, the red tides are signs of scripture's worth. You may truly ask yourself, "How can God know these things?" Look on an endless universe where truth forever sings. On worlds beyond number where time forever flows, The Master of creation has seen through countless woes, The folly of His children as He gives knowledge clear. We twist, misuse, or just abuse through each industrial year. God knew because he's seen before man's messes as he fights for more. It's here on earth he leaves us free to choose what we will grow to be. To greedy, lustful ones of power who hurt the weak and from strong cower, Or into chidren of truth's word, with humble hearts we meekly serve. |
