CitiesI look as countless trucks, cars, and cycles hurry along. Within each, a private world, determined by that soul's ability to see, taste, touch, feel, smell, think, dream, and pray. In each of us, different pressured trials stand as obstacles That build or tear down, depending on one's attitude. Within my soul, resentment builds, Caused by torn remembrance of peaceful meadows, clear singing rivers, Or cool shaded mountain sides of pine and quaking asps, Or golden sunsets upon an ocean, Where waves beat rhythm upon the sands, And life in all her glory touches all things. In this maze of life and steel we call a city, Much beauty does reside. Warm homes, apartments, yes even some businesses Where honest, caring parents, children, friends reside, Within the balance nature's God demands, And wisdom's knowledge can provide. |
